Hey everyone.....i have a 95 gs with an iceman CAI, greddy header and downpipe, with a mozart racing exhaust. Lateley I have noticed that my car smells like the 02 sensor is bad...i asked my stepdad what he thought becuase he is a mechanic at a dealership, and he also thought it was my 02 sensor. I am not getting a cel code though?? what do you guys think it could be???

My CEL has been going on and off for a little while due to my O2 sensor...maybe yours is going bad but just not registering for the CEL to come on?

Your Ecu will not notice a bad O2 sensor for ever... You would have to drive on the highway for like half and hour, on cruise for the computer to eventually notice, and throw a CEL.

But if you are burning through a lot of gas, and are puffing some black smoke that could definatly be your problem.

if your O2 sensor was bad your car would run like shit.... that is if its the upside o2. if it was the down side eh. I have never heard of a O2 sensor smelling bad.

usually if you're getting a rotten egg smell, it's your cat - your o2 sensor is probably fine unless you're getting terrible gas mileage
