oh i have not fixed my account profile i am running 7 PSI and not 18 also i have the stock injectors just letting you know that as well

Lol, damn that's never good. What kind of valve did you have? I had a Synapse valve and it worked damn good for the 3 years I had it. I find people with cheap ebay missing links fail. Get the fcd from symtech labs, if something goes wrong you can always email them on your problem. There customer support is excellent.

Fuel Cut Defender (FCD) - SymTech Laboratories

Edit: This is a good start (boost wise), but from seeing other posts seems like you have other problems. Your car shouldn't be cutting fuel as soon as you cut on the car....check the timing, fuel, vac leaks

well i plugged up all the vacuums and only left the one for the boost controller and then i turned on the car and my vacuum is still the same. The fmu seems to be working and for the timing i have checked that out alot of times i just dont know what the base timing is so i can check it out with the GUN and i got me a Synapse valve as well

ok problem solved it was the MAP SENSOR CLIP all ALONG. thanks for your help you guys

OK i gues it was NOT the ####en clip all along the ####en code came out again my question is why the hell does it keep on coming out?

Just so I know if i was to get 99 eclipse 420a whole wiring harness but using my same 97 ECU will it work? cuss i know the problem lies somewhere in the wiring harness (but i cant find the F ucken problem)and since my friend blew up his head gasket and is going to trow on a different engine He is going to give me his whole wiring harness and the engine for free and i just want to know if it will work and maybe see if this will solve my problem.

ANYONE OUT THERE PLEASE

If he's not giving you the ecu included with it, then it won't work. The pinouts are different on a 99 opposed to your 97. Only thing you can match up are the colors of the wires. Measure the ohms on on your signal wire from the map sensor to the ecu: should be .01-.04 ohms. You really can't measure the other wires of the map sensor because there branched out to other sensors. Your on the right track, use that 99 ECU if you can with the harness.

So will it work 100 percent even though his is a 99 RS and mine is a 97 GS:confused:.............

Like I said; if you get the 99 ecu and harness I don’t see why it won’t work..what u got to lose hes givin it to you isn’t he?

Well I completed my task i put on the WIRING Harness from the 99 car it was a bi*** to take it out but yeah anyways When i turned on the car i got the check enigne light from the start i tried to pop the code turning the key back and forward and some how i cant get the code to pop out like when i had my other ecu i just want to know if the code should start flashing like on my other ECU and harness???

yes i am using the harness and the ECU. i didnt get the other harnes on the bottom of the block like the alternator and starter and OIL pressure sensor since they are the same from 95-99 but i dont think that would stop the code from poping out....any clues?

OK WELL I BOUGHT A DAMN CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TOOL THIS IS THE CODE I GOT P1495 i don't know what the hell is this one ANY IDEAS????

What other codes are you getting besides P1495? The EVAP canister shouldn’t affect performance/economy; do you still have the map sensor code 11?? Does it drive good? Do you have all sensors hooked up, reset the ecu? Be more descriptive so people can better assist you.

I am not yelling i just like to type in caps sometimes when the car does run good it just turns off sometimes when i come to a complete stops sometimes. I got these codesP0403 thats the EGR and P0443 thats the EVAP and the P1495 i dont know what that one is. and no i have not gotten the MAP sensor code what so ever no more hesitation but it still backfires sometimes and yes all the sensors are connected....

Not really addressing your current problem but...

It should still work;

Edit: You put the '99 wiring harness and the '99 ECU in right?

the keydance does not work on all years. It works on 95's, 96's and some 97's. With a 99 ECU and wiring harness it should not work.

BTW I just pulled a wiring harness the other day and I agree, it was a bi*** to take out :beatentodeath:

For starters I would get new plugs to take care of the back fire. Check the ohms on the wires it should be around 33 ohms for msd. Possibly check your coil pack to see if it's within spec. ---EDIT---- Woops, I see you don't have an egr by looking at your pics. Check the cam/crank connectors and wiring for oil/water. Cleaning out your TB would also be something to look into... And looking for loose/damage connections.

how is this? a car running only 20 mph. if you push it dies. any ideas or suggestions on what to do? please help. the car is AWD 95 eclipse gsx.

So I didn't look all that close through the thread, but did you check to see if the wires around the EGR tube were OK? I know you may or may not have the tube on anymore, but it could be previous damage even if the tube is off now.

I have the EGR block off plates so i know why the EGR light is on also i disconnected all the vaccum hoses that run to the EVAP just because i know that the evap should not effect my performance its just for EMISSION that what i know so i know why the EVAP light is on but the code that i still dont know what it is is P1495? I already put new spark plugs and wires and also I check my coil pack and the injectors also and they all seem ok.
