car revs up to 1k then falls and shuts off immediately after started, please help!

I left my lights on accidentally for a few hours today and the battery died. however after i jump started it, it would only stay on for a few secs and die. If i pressed the gas, it would immediately die! please help

i then took the battery to autozone and got it charged, after putting it back in the car, it would only do the same thing as before.. also, do i need to unlock any security systems to start the car or something? or could the alternator be bad?

another thing: my apex boost controller turns on but my apex super afc fuel controller does not...could that have been reset or causing the engine to shut off once started? can someone tell me how to turn it back on?

use a battery charger to charge it over night

most likely youre battery can no longer hold a charge and therefore dies after 5 seconds.
charge it over night like said above, or buy a new battery if yours is older then 3 or 4 years I suppose

if it was just a starter battery, you may have permanently damaged it.

well i have a red top optima. and it s a starter but i have a bad habbit about lkistening to music while working on cars so it always dies on me. except mine after jumpinh it it keeps the car runing but if you turn the car off it will not start. so this has happenend 4 time you would think i leaned my lesson but i take to auto zone and leave it overnight and it brand new the next day.

the yellowtop optima is for deepcycle applications, and lets you use it with the car off safely. it can drain out, and will not get damaged. the redtop optima however gets damaged everytime it drains becaue of a different gel if i remember correctly. your not supposed to let it drain, because redtop accepts rapid charge, while your engine is running, not from another car, trying to charge it from empty.

i don't think i need a new battery right now, its been recharged but i dont know why the car wont stay on. so could it be the alternator? or is there a stock security system lock or something?

are any of your lights coming on? like coolant, brake, and battery?
it could very well be youre alternator I suppose, mine did that when it needed replacement.

no, everything turns on, lights/ac/anything electrical cept fuel controller

just take it to an electrician. i had thee same exact problem lights turn on and car turns on but then dies. after replacing alternator and fuses and it still did that. apperantly it was some fried wire. hard to fine enless u have a machine to check that. total cost for that was 65 that was it.

Check the ground/power wires from the AFC to your ecu, the car wont start without the signal from the the AFC believe me I just put mine in and had a bad ground

yeah, make sure your grounds are close enough together, they only need to be a few cm's away from eachother, w/ the brown wire closer to the ECU.
