alright I have a huge problem...I just swapped out my 7 bolt motor and tranny for a 6 bolt motor and tranny...I have the whole swap done and everything, when I went to turn the car on, it revved up real high..to like 5 grand...then I shut it off...and I went to try and start it again, and it wouldn't start I looked at all the fuses and the MPI fuse was blown I replaced it...and yeah the exact same thing happens....The car will not start without it revving up really high...and the ISC motor is down, and everything is how it's supposed to be...I was thinking a vacuumn leak, but I don't know where a leak would be that would cause that big a difference...can someone MAYBE help me out??
Thanks
Ryan

I don't know what " the ISC motor is down" means, but maybe you should let the ECU figure out how to idle the new motor. I remember reading something about that on this site. A guy just finished installing a new motor and it idled really high for a short while (matter of minutes maybe?) and then it settled down.

But first run through the normal checklist, like the throttle cable, boost leaks. Is there any reason why you don't want to let it keep running? Fresh rebuild maybe?

P.S. Fill out your profile. Defiant and the other mods won't be too happy if they catch you without it. :p But seriously, fill it out. It makes diagnosing problems easier, as well as offering solutions.

Is there any chance the timing is off? When i put on a new t-belt and the timing was a little out of whack it idled at about 4.5k. Just covering bases :thumb:
