car only goes into 3rd & 4th... help!

okay my clutch started making noise, so i replaced it... it was a 2600 and i replaced it with stock since i will be selling the car soon. however after getting her all put back together i noticed that i can only move the shifter from 3rd to 4th... before replacing the clutch all gears went in smoothly. so i un hooked the shifter cables and one of the levers on the tranny is really hard to move. i can force it up and down with my hands but it wont move through the use of the shifter.

is this the shift fork? or just the tranny lever? whats this piece called? i thought the shift fork was inside the tranny.... why would this happen even though the tranny has not been used? could i just replace the levers? anyone have this happen to them?

Hi,

Have you looked to make sure that nothing is snaging or binding the shift cables.
