heres whats happened
Day 1: Picked car up from shop after getting all partsput on in profie. Car drove good for 60 miles cruising except when boosting IC pipe fell off.
Day 2: Replaced Alternator, boosted to 10 psi car shut off sounding like a pipe fell off. All were connected. Misfire cylinder 2, drove home really bad.
Day3: Changed spark plugs to 7es, old spark plugs cylinder 2 was .015. Ran great to pull out of garage and park. Started that night, idled than stuttered and shut off. Wouldn't start again just starter going. Let set started drove like shit go into garage.
Day4: Checked spark on spark plugs everyone sparked except cylinder seemed really wet. Started car up reved at 2k for a couple min let it set at idle set at 1100 dropped to 900 misfire cylinder 1. Cleared code and removed misfire on dsmlink, started 1100 idle 2 sec then loud fast kncking noise.
Whats going on.

Im not really a dsm expert, but I can give you my two cents.

Check the filter, wires to it, etc.

Cut your fuel down alot, sounds to be running very rich.

Check your coil wires, and the wires running to it.

Check your ecu wires.

Check the grounds running to everything.

Check your waste gate actuator, and misc turbo parts.

Check your bov and the routing hose.

Basicly just run through your car checking things like that, look for the obvious stuff first, with these car's it's usually the thing that's right under your nose.

those logs linked to dsmlink.com unless we have dsmlink. Check everything he said above. Do a run down. Knocking noise = shut off car.

The knocking sound, where in the engine bay is it coming from, does the sound increase in speed with rpms. After you put all the pipes back on it ran fine you said? Then it started stuttering..... Did you rev it up at all? On mine, I had a boost leak coming from a pipe. Stock setup... the pipes would seperate when the motor moved and when the motor settled, it would pop right back on. A smoke test didn't find the problem, just happened to be standing next to it when it was in the air and we were playing with it. Anyway 'nuff about me.
Is your car creating any boost (If the knocking wasn't present...)? OR is it stuttering when it tried spooling

What ended up happening with this was when I had the bov welded to the intercooler, they did a terrible weld and the slag went up the pipe through the intake manifold to the engine and was bouncing off my cylinedrs heads into the sprak plugs and and everything else. Ended up getting a settlement for the damages and the car is running much better obviously.

Why did they weld it when it was on the car? Would it not be easier to do off the car and then get all the slag out, replace parts on car, then it would have been fine from the beginning?

Yeah your right, we actually id have it off the car when they welded it. When I checked it out I asked him specifically if the sla might come cause of the pressure and of air coming through. He said it would be fine and I went with him. Which ended up screwing me.

They were really lucky, I took the car to the chrysler dealership and had them do ll the work so I could have a bill. They removed the head and the walls weren't scratched and the head looked alright. Ended being ok. Was still a huge pain.
