So this one guy from whom I want to buy a dsm told me that his car only leaks oil when it's driven hard but claims it doesn't leak any oil when it's not driven hard. So what might be the problem? Why is it only leaking some oil when it's driven hard???

Is it a turbo car? Where is it leaking from? That info would help out. It could just have a bad oil cap, and oil could be seeping around the gasket and getting in the valve cover, then pooling out onto the ground. Its a common thing, ask him where the leak is coming from, or where the oil is.

Id guess its from the turbo oil lines, check under the car and follow up to where the oil is dripping. :thumb:

Worst case, excessive crank case pressure.

1. Make sure the crank case is vented correctly.

2. Test drive and wot, pay attention to smoking exhaust.

Post back results before you pay him. Good luck.
