Strange Oil Leak only when starting car.

Hey Guys ,
I have a 99 GS-T which was swapped for a 95 G1. Last night I started her in the garage and let her warm up. I then let her get to 200 degrees I then shut her down a little while later I was looking under the car and there was a puddle of oil. I then jacked it up thinking maybe I can see where it was coming from no luck at all. Then today after work I got some of the uv oil leak stuff from Napa I put it in. I then started the car I then looked under the car and noticed oil coming out. I then turned the car off tried to use a black light to no luck. I then jacked her up and started checking under the car it looks like it's either coming from by the flywheel or just to the front of where the flywheel cover is normally. So I started her on the jack and let her warm up again this time to about 200 degrees once again and there was no oil leak. Could this be something where the oil left in the inter cooler is being returned and it is coming out that hose not sure if the return hose is in that area.


Any help at all would be great.

Another thing anyone know where that white hole is right above the motor mount in the picture. This is right near the tranny.

Take a pressure washer and clean off that oil mess already there. If you have a air compressor, blow all that water away after area has been cleaned. You want to make sure that area is completely dry and clean before you go any further. After area has dried and no water can be seen, start the car and let it idle. Run it for around 30 minutes or so. Let it get good and hot. Check the area after the car has warmed up and look for any traces of new oil leaking down to that spot in the picture. If you cleaned the area well enough, you can spot where the leak is coming from. Sometimes leaks are tricky they will leak when the cars either hot or cold, sometimes even both. So, if you don't see any oil while it is running don't be sad. Just let the car cool off then keep checking back for any signs of fluid drips. Sooner or later after looking at it you will figure out where it is coming from, pay attention to detail. And keep your car inside in Dakota it gets really kold up there and seals will shrink but as the car continues to warm the seal may expand and stop leaking.

Thanks Stars I did clean that area up last night I haven't ran the car today. I don't think it is coming from that hole just looked funny that it wasn't plugged. I keep the car in the garage it's not the warmest but at the moment its way warmer than outside. I think you might be correct about the seals the engine was rebuilt about 800 miles ago.

Put about 2500 on it and check it over again. Start the car up every now and then, just let it idle and get warm, if you don't plan on driving it I would get worried after your 2nd or 3rd oil change and you started to notice any leaks. Also never hurts since it is a fresh build to go back over the the entire engine. Especially take time to remove the timing belt cover and check that area for anything leaking. Re-tighten all the bolts at least 3 times on the valve cover but do not over tighten. You should be fine after that, just check periodically for leaks.

I just caught a fantom leak under the rig, culprit ended up being my dip stick tube was loose and oil was seeping out, pulled it off slapped a new o-ring on it and bolted her back up, seems to have done it.

That looks to be right about where the tranny air breather mounts. Either that or there is also an unused hole just about 60* down and left of the air breather (not hole straight down) in my attached image.

I think you are correct. Star as far as the other things I have been having issues with still see some oil I change out the synthetic oil for conventional oil today to see if that would make a difference since the Dealer here in town told me that after about 1500-2000 miles then switch it to make sure the seal all get seated. Thanks for all the help guys you been great.
