I have an oil leak that appears to be coming from the head gasket area right in front of #1 cylinder. I did just change cams and the rubber seals have 4k miles on them. Also the head has a hole just below the valve cover, same area that I thought was a vent on my 7 bolt but this is a 6-bolt and that hole is plugged. Is there anything common here? Bad cam seals? Now I see a bit of oil on the lower plastic cover on the timing marks also. Suggestions? This happen to anyone else? Thanks, Mark
PS: Could the head gasket be leaking, the car runs great otherwise. Mark

Could the oil be comming from the valve cover gasket area? Did you replace the VC gaskets when you did the cams?

Everytime I pull my cover I'm real anxious about over torking the bolts (and cracking the cover) so tend to err on the safe side and sometimes have a little seepage that re-torking the bolts has always helped :dsm:
