hey guys,
i got this wierd oil leak coming from the lower timing belt side...the reason why its wierd is because its doesnt leak oil at idle, only leaks a lil when i rev it hard, and leaks a lot when i drive it..i mean a lot.. i lost 2 quarts of oil in a hour drive!!
its a mess, i dried up all the oil, start it up hoping to find the oil leak..nothing..let it sit for 15 mins just running, not one drop..but when i rev it hard upper 4-6K rpm, i see drops of oil under my alternator no oil trail..more like the oil was squirted up on it???it seems to be coming from the bracket that holds up the alt, esp around the bottom bolt.
any idea what this could be??

i also checked my valvecover gasket and camshaft seals both are leak free.
is this a sign that my oil pump is going bye bye??
i plan on removing the bottom timing belt cover tomm.(gonna be fun).i just want a heads up on what to look for..
thanks in advance for your time and your input..=)

man i still have this problem..i jus got it back from the mechanic shop after a complete timing belt job, seals, waterpump, etc.(being a responsible ,caring, loving turbo dsm owner). and it still leaks right under the crank pulley, matter of fact even worse..
now my only guess is that its the oil pump or the front cover for the oil pump is bad..any ideas?

i plan on bringing the car back to the shop ..but i work all this week and i cant miss work at all..so my cars gonna be sittin there all the way till saturday
so im just hoping that some one can give me a heads up on what the problem could be or what else to check for until saturday comes up.

btw..the oil pressure gauge never reads low pressure

thanks for your help..i should replace both of those..how about the front cover for the oil pump, or is that the same meaning as the oil pump gasket??

well update..my car idles like shit and dies ever since the guys at the shop worked on it..leaks like crazy..boost dropped down to 5psi..isnt a dsm anymore

The mechanic checked it out for me (again) ..and he noticed that its leaking from the headgasket on the timing belt side..
so i did some homework on here..and read that my car would be fine with a oem headgasket and arp studs..i only plan on runing 16 pounds of boost in the future (with all required upgrades of course)
the question that i have is that do i put in the arp studs to stock torque specs..or would they have to be tighter?? i use to own a mk3 supra well known for bhg's they suggest to torque it a bit more down.. so thats why i asked.. btw im ordering the parts from slowboy racing
thanks in advance
