I have a small oil leak coming from somewhere below. I haven't got under the car and checked for anything yet b/c I figured I'd just post on here first to save some time. After running the car hard, some oil is burning and I know for a fact it's dripping on the exhaust right behind the block. Any info would be nice before I take a look.

Note - only happens after running the car hard

oil line to your turbo? dont know maybe you should get under there and look.

ps runing your car hard all the time is going to leave you with alot more problums then a little oil leak. no matter how much you want it to be its no racecar

How would my oil line to my turbo be shooting oil behind the block UNLESS you mean oil return line in which case I have heard from some people this is a possible culprit. Don't know if this sounds strange to YOU but that's why I posted here first to try and save some time and even stated this reason. I run the car hard maybe once a night. Still in the break in stage up until about 2k miles and it has 1100 on it.

Edit- No oil on the intake manifold so I think the valve cover gasket is ruled out.

 On the Exhaust behind the Block my guess is Valve Cover, Oil puddles on Intake & runs down backside of Motor.

i have puddles of oil on my intake manifold and i have oil all over the firewall and rear block under the intake manifold and eventually gets to the exhaust and burns it doesent seem like this much oil is coming from the valve cover but i know my valve cover is leaking atleast a little but i havent been able to see it under high pressure
my main question is
can this much oil really be seeping through my valve cover and has anyone else had a really bad valve cover leak like this
ive been searching and reading here for 3 weeks now and i dont want this oil everywhere any more its making a big mess
any help would be greatly appreciated

i'd put my momey on the oil return line...they really suck on the 1g's. I just did mine for the 4th time last week, and i decided to modify mine (took a hacksaw to it). Take a look under the car, and look at the oil return line. It usually cracks in the flex section. Let me know what you find.

definatly check the oil return line... thats why my car is outa action right now.. the flex section on my line cracked and was spirting oil all over my downpipe.. making some smoke and a funky smell... you can get a new one from any dsm website... or you could cut out the flex section in yours if thats whats leaking and use something to replace it seeing as how the return line is not pressurized.. make sure you get new return line gaskets when you do this job also... there only a couple of bucks for 2... post back when you find the leak.. :talon:
