I hope its okay to post here...I did read a whole bunch of rules...

Yesterday I picked up my new car that I bought. A 1990 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSR-4. It has only 74k kms and a 3" Megan turbo-back exhaust, mbc, and boost gauge. The car ran like a dream all the way home and to work this morning. Idled at 18 vaccum and ran ever so smooth with lots of power. :thumb:

Today, on my way home from work, the car started loping at speed with holding the gas pedal steady. By the time I got closer home the car wouldn't do more than an idle and I eventually had to be towed the last few miles.

I did a BLT and found a leak on the backside of the TB, tighten the screws, and the leak went away. The car held pressure quite well, but that still didn't fix the problem. It doesnt' want to rev up and labours just to idle (which is only at 4-600 rpm). When I touch the gas pedal, the car wants to stall.

What's wrong?? I just bought the car for a hefty price and now its broken so I'm scared; can't afford to fix another DSM :sosad:

well dsms are what they are, its also a older car, i call mine the moneypit oh well, well did you do a boostleak test. do you have a datalogger is useful to check sensors.

No I don't have a datalogger, and its not throwing any CELs. I believe it may be fuel related though because I tried bypassing the fpr selonoid and it worked enough to get farther home but then had the same problem so I hooked the fpr selonoid.

I know all about DSMs being a money pit. I finished bringing a AWD Talon back from the dead and it took over $5000 in parts and over a year. that's why I bought this new one b/c it only has 74k kms (46k miles) and hoping it would be reliable so I could start modding HP wise...but I guess the car had other plans.

Thanks for the help and please give me an idea of where to start testing/fixing? I really need this car to run.

found the problem, after I did the BLT and fixed the leak, I forgot to put the BOV recirculating hose back on. :ohdamn:
