saskatoon,
Hey, i searched around but there is nothing that is specifically like what my car does, it idles at 1500 most the time, it will sometimes drop to about 1200 but it usually stays at 1500, the guy before me just put in new o2 sensors, a new turbo(stock) and a new exhaust manifold, i recently changed the oil and put new park plugs in it.. what could be the problem? thanks.

check you throttle cable when the car is hot... it should have some slack .. if it doesn't then loosen the 2 bolts on the back of the intake manifold and give it some slack.. if you have cruise control then back out the 2 bolts on the cruise control box and give that some slack too. AFTER you've done that and the idle is still high then adjust your BISS screw. if that fails, start looking for vac/boost leaks.

Tom

EDIT: Does it idle high when it's cold?

Okay, i'll try some of that.. and yes it does idle at 1500 when its cold, but its like once it gets warmer it starts to go lower.. but some days it doesn't go lower..

The plug for the tps was busted on mine and would disconnect from time to time causing the idle to raise to 1500, so check your tps for sure. Also, without the tps working, my car would studder during cruising.

You may have a leak after the throttle body. I have a unused nipple on mine for some reason and it had a cap on it but one day the Mitsubishi boost bug got it to blow off and it did that while ideling. It also threw a p0505 code and I had to patch it with black duct tape that I just happened to have in the car with me. It corrected the problem until it got hot and slipped loose, then it started it again. Good luck with it.
