I was driving my 92 tsi today for an hour or so. When I got back home, the car died by it self. I started it up again then it still dies. I took it out again and when its running the car runs great. Then I got home again and tryed to let the car idle but it dont want to. I check all the vacuum hoses and compared it with my 93 tsi and it all matches. I was unable to check the thermostat b/c the motor was still hot and it was already getting dark. What would be the possible couse of the car dying when it gets hot? Ill be checking the thermostat tomorrow.

Is there any more possibilities for this problem?

thanks for your suggestions

I checked the thermostat today and it was all messed up. I want to kragen and bought a thermostat and installed it. Now, The car doesnt die any more when its hot. The temperature gauge is now at the first line.
