Car cuts off at Night when at Idle? What's wrong?

I was driving my DSM for the last week at night with the lights on, radio on just normal stuff and all of a sudden my lights went out and car cut off at idle. All my radio station presets went back to factory original settings like when you take your batter out or disconnect your battery......So is it the Battery?

I don't think it is the Alternator because the alternator light is not coming on. This is a weird problem and I was wondering if anyone else has ever had this problem. I would like to get to the bottom of it if possible, because I have to do nighttime driving quite a bit.

The problem on happens when I am sitting at a light at idle?

probly bad battery....i had the same problem...

When the radio reset itself I was thinking it was the batter. I am going to take it out and take it to AUTOZONE to get it checked for free.
