ok. the engine has been rebuilt when my friend bought the car. (don't know when it was rebuilt but has a number stamped on the block showing the proof of rebuild).
right now it has 98k miles on the whole car. it is 2g talon tsi fwd
when he first got the car, it was burning water. white smoke and moistured smoke shooting out of exhaust.
we took the engine apart and there was a lot of water on top of the gasket where the head would touch. so we replaced the gasket and checked for warpage, but there wasn't any warpage on the head. so we put everything back together and it is still burning water. (same effect as beginning)
now the funny thing is when we rev the engine, it revs fine. doesn't seem like it is bogging or anything, but great amount of water shoots out through the muffler. enough to wet your whole hand just by reving to 5k rpm.
and when we rev the engine, the smoke comes from exhaust and under the engine bay
now what would that be caused by?
i thought it would also be from the water line from/to turbo that is leaking through the downpipe. but what is the smoke under the hood?
i am pretty much confused. help me out please

By the way you can't "check" for warpage or anything like that by eyeballing. Those two surfaces (head and block) have to be pretty precise.

"checking" the warpage means getting the machine shop checking the warpage.
sorry for the misinterpretation. it was not eye-balling.

Perhaps a crack in the head? I would have it pressure tested to verify. Warpage is only one venue for water to enter the combustion chamber. You can pull your plugs and see which cylinder is clean. This would be the suspect cylinder. Also when you pulled the head did one cylinder or cylinders look different? Which ones had the water in them?

Repost and let us know. Good Luck
