Ok so i was on here once before, trying to figure out things. I own a 92 tsi, and experiencing alot of problems. So my car has a strange idle, valve ticking, and lots of backfiring. I was told the ecu needed dsmlink, because the ecu wasnt a turbo ecu. Im buying dsmlink very soon for the record. However my buddy brought over a spare turbo ecu and, we plugged it in and fired her up and still the same issues. My mods are a 16g, 255 walboro fuel pump, a safc2, syock 450ccs. Now i zeroed out the safc today and left the rest of the stuff alone car runs steady on idle but sounds poor and now on initital start up i heard a really loud bang from the engine like a backfire but worse i immediatly turned it off and checked everything, seems to be fine my wideband, isnt giving,me accurate readings i read a 7.4 but it flashes sometimes just dont know how to solve this. Any ideas

Sounds like a BLT (boost leak test) is in order for you...
Also if you are running that rich at idle, you may be experiencing FPR (fuel pressure regulator) over run. Typically it is advised to get an afpr (adjustable fuel pressure regulator) with the wally 255.
