I started out trying to pull just the motor so i could fix some broken bolts in the back of the block. Could'nt seem to seperate the motor from the tranny so i pulled the axles(needed to replace them both anyway) and other goodies that was keeping the tranny in. Got the motor and tranny pulled and on the floor. I still cannot seperate the two! All bolts are out(that i know of anyway) and i can get a 1/4 in gap on all sides at once. If i pry hard on one side i can get about 1/2 inch on the one side. It does not matter what side i try as the results are the same. I tried various angles with stands and jacks (with cherry picker as well) and all is to no avail! Am i missing something???
Also found the exhaust cam to be one or two teeth advanced and the rear balancer shaft is almost 180 deg off(closer to 180 than to 90). Guess i found my vibration and goofy idle problem!
