cant hit boost ### help

ok so i have a 96 gst with 16g turbo front mount and welbro 255 pump it ran perfect when i got it and now as soon as it goes over 5 pounts of boost it just has no power it wont go over 4000 rpms if pedal is to the floor i had a couple boost leaks i fixed i have new plugs wires cam sensor crank sensor and just did timing ### help out of ideas

What does it do when you 4000rpm..does it chug or stutter?

If your positive their is no boost leak, than I would check your ECU.

it just stops accelerating and tonight i put a new timing belt on and did timing and it drove fine still had the same problem but then i let it sit and started it and now it runs like crap and keeps dieing but i also found a pin size hole in tubing could that make it not run good under boost

i fixed the car got it running again but still wont go over 4k unless u are hitting no boost

Have you thought about getting a tuning device such as an afc ? It sounds to me like you are running rich and flooding your injectors. you need to tune your car at least for your 255 to work properly with your stock fuel injectors/fpr.

Platinum plugs? Get NGK BRP6ES copper plugs gapped @ .028".

That could be why I had no boost the other day either, dumping too much fuel..Got 5spd ecu out of talon, left my key at buddies house..Just my luck.

check mafs had a simular problem turned out to be dirty.

i had the same problem with my 96 as soon as i hit boost it was like hitting a brick wall almonst like fuel cut and it was bad wires even thought they were brand new i would start with upgraded wires and see what happens that was my solution
