cant get my logger to work!!

i just got my palm pilot in after my last one got stolen, and i put the logger program on it, i went out to my car and hooked it up and no go i have the red wire on the 1 pin and the 2 white ones on 10 and 12, i never did get to check to see if the last one worked cuz it got stolen before i could even hook it up!! any one have an idea of what i should check?? thanks in advance!!

what doesnt work, it doesnt turn on, or it doesnt moniter anything, what? be a litle more spacific.

sorry, it wont log, i turn the pause off and nothin. and yes the car is running
