Can't get exhaust housing off an HX35

So my parents own a school bus company, and have recently retired some of our older school buses. Some of which have been stripped of parts. Some consisting of HX-35's. I pulled a few off and am trying to take them apart. BUT i can't get the damn exhaust housing off!! But yet the entire center section spins. Am i missing something??

Heat caused the metal to expand you may need to use a hammer(small hammer) a sand mallet would be ideal.

Call it a bunch of names and then beat it with a dead blow hammer. I found using the word "bi***" while working on the GST was very effective.

i used a sternly mounted vice a big fing wrench and 3ft breaker bar..and that still took some ummf...heat cycling is a mother trucker...
