ECMlink Can't get auto dsm anti lag to work during launch

I have an auto 1g dsm with an hx35 turbo and ecmlink v3 full. I can't seem to get my anti lag settings to work during a launch. Here is an attached log. Thanks for any help in advance.

Ok, the way im reading it is you have antilag setup to engage when rpms are ABOVE 3k. If im reading the setting correctly then theres your problem. Set it to 2k rpm and see what happens.

And just out of curiosity, do you have a vac pump setup? The hx35 is fairly small/mid size turbo that spools very fast. With a vac pump to hold the line i doubt you would need AL to spool enough. Add in a 50 shot and you will spool very quick on the line.. Im going to AT and run a 55mm turbo. I cant forsee the need for antilag if a pump is hooked up.

What specifically are you trying to do with antilag? ALS in it's typically applied form doesn't work well with an auto trans, where torque is required to stay up on the converter, but there are ways to use it to accomplish certain things. Using fairly typical settings like those in that log you're bound to be left feeling a little disappointed, but I can try to point you in a certain direction if you're trying to do something specific with it. There are other options using the secondary maps as well.

I'm trying to build boost off the line as fast as possible. I'm not exactly sure what would work the best but any advise would be helpful. What would you recommend for this?

Looking at your log again I'm not sure a whole lot can be done without nitrous. It looks like a very tight converter. Your settings to get on the converter look pretty good already, maybe try a couple more degrees of timing there and see if it picks up any RPM. You're at a pretty low rpm so it may not want it. You can try mid 13s, but most cars are happy right where you have it at 13.0. 4800 rpm stall in third gear at 24 psi might just be too much converter to do much with.

When I had my 16g turbo the converter would stall up to about 4000rpms without using antilag or anything. Could it just be the turbo?

Back from the dead but I'm having the same issues if anyone else could chime in! Running an FP Green at 27psi and my converter wont spool up past 2200... and its a 4000 or 4200 restall IPT.

Did you ever figure out your brake stalling issue? I have a FP green auto as well and I only stall up to ~2400

No man... You running an IPT re-stall as well? I tried 2 different tuners even, neither could figure out the issue, has to be a bad/ "to tight" of a converter.

24-2500 is the highest I can hit and that's literally leaving the line with no boost. Sucks..

I have a mystery converter. Previous owner didn’t even know what it is but it’s powder coated green if that means anything. Luckily with that 2400 stall I hit 5psi. But that is nowhere new what is needed. I do have my exhaust manifold and and hot side ported with a short route FMIC so that could help. I’ve been trying to make up for crappy launch on ECMLink messing with timing and the als. But I haven’t been able to get it working. I have been told that exhaust and boost leaks will have a huge affect on our spoolup.

I was in the same boat as you when I tried to launch auto 2g. Even with my high compression 2.4 and a sinister 9" weighted converter. I was only seeing 2400 stall speed and no psi with a 6262 turbo. I came across a thread in ecmlink explaining the proper way to launch an auto using the als tap. In order to use the als properly. You need to ground your brake switch to the ecu. Then using the als table, you'll be able to retard timing and richen up the A/f raito when the brake pedal is pressed at a stop to build boost on the line. After doing this mod, I was able to build boost and launch my car within a few seconds. Heres the wiring diagram for a 2g.

You are a life saver! Time to break out the soldering gun this weekend!! Is there any chance you can also use this as rolling anti lag or is that a bit sketchy?

you guys will be a lot happier on a cdi box with an ignition cut like the msd or dynatek than using the link stuff. just my .02 my auto has no trouble getting to 4200rpm on a hx40 with a bep .70 ar housing.

you set the rpm for where you want to launch. ive got the two step activation set to the brake pedal switch so it only activates when im on the brakes. timing and fuel would have to be adjusted accordingly.

I think I would have to set it up on a switch not the brake pedal for that, but I like your idea.

honestly never tried to activate it while I was moving it activates when the brake lights come on. so all youd really have to do is barely touch the brake at the desired rpm and see.

I hope this works for me because everyone has been telling me just to spray a little to get the converter to spool up.

Antilag or 2step sucks on an auto! You will cause yourself to bog down trying to antilag/2 step launch an auto. a 75 or 100 shot of Nos is your best friend. Almost instant spool of your converter and turbo. Converter would be a good upgrade as well.

Some of us can't run nitrous because of a specific class in events, this is where all of this comes in to play. I use Antilag with my setup and takes me 4-5 seconds to get up on the converter with 20+psi.

Heres a quick right up for anyone doing the brake activated ALS on a 2g

Remove Lower Dash Panel
Find Brake Switch and Verify +12v on Brake Activation
Peel back Harness at Switch slightly to Patch in wire
Patch Pin 86 of Relay into +12v on Brake Switch (large Green wire)
Tie Pins 30 and 85 together and wire to chassis ground
Cut harness wire to Pin 91 of ECU
Patch Pin 87 of Relay into Pin 91 of ECU
Configure ECMLink for ALS

Note: you don't have to tie pin 85 to 86 on the relay.
