If he had version 1 i don't believe anti-lag would even show up as an option since it wasn't added till version 2.

If someone downloaded the software from the website they would have the newest version. You either have V1 or the car is not linked at all. Pull the ECU and check the EPROM, it will tell you what it is.

can i upgrade my chip? like not buy the new one but have it upgraded for cheaper?

They offer an "upgrade" which is much cheaper than buying new and will allow you to upgrade to the newest software and hardware for a low cost. I'd also try to get in contact with Tom and the previous owner (person who purchased the link) to see if you can get on the DSMlink forums such that you'll have product support.

When you getting it working check to see if the car is throwing any Codes. My antilag and studderbox features wouldn't work either and I found out it was the VSS (vehicle speed sensor) They are in the tranny, but easily replaceable for a 2g, in a 1G it is in the guage cluster. I was getting a code for the VSS, So I replaced it and all my features work now.

i have a tps code and a mdp code... should be easy fixes...
