so i bought a lc-1 wideband the other day and had a buddy help me wire it in. we calibrated it the first time started the car and it was working. after that i didnt think to much and just wanted to drive WOT to see where i was at. long story short i didnt tie up enough of the wire and it grinded into tho ground tore everything up. we wired it back together it didnt work then i went and bought a brand new bosch replacement. now i cant get it to calibrate for nothing and im kinda lost at what to do. any thoughts?

I'm pretty sure those bosch replacement o2 sensors should come pre calibrated.

I have a plx m-300 wide band (pretty sure that's the model), and when I replaced the sensor not long ago with a new bosch one it, came pre calibrated.

I just installed it, plugged it in and it worked fine. Yours may be a different sensor than mine tho

It sounds to me like you have wiring issues still if it worked before said incident. Maybe it didn't just damage your wideband wires, but also the wires in your harness you attached them to.

Just a thought

i dont think its a wiring issue the only thing that got damaged was the sensor wires. it still comes on and flashes 7.4 and the calibration light still blinks but wont warm up the sensor. when i start the car the gauge doesnt change.

Unless you really tore up the wiring and shorted it or what not, that is why I get the aem wideband. As people love and think the innovate so fast and awsome, I would pass up anyday getting under the car all the time to calibrate the 0.00000001 whatever it might make a difference in speed of a a/f reading for the aem wideband. Plug and play all day.:thumb:

This is true. Most come with there own special calibration resistor in the connector.

im not logging anything so all that isnt wired up to the ecu. but yeah i did it all by the book to calibrate it and got nothing. i got it to work the first time but after that it doesnt read now.

Have you called Innovate Motorsports and talk to their tech support? They can either help you or you can see if you can send it in for warranty repair/replacement (if possible).

But if wires got ripped apart, who knows what you may have damaged and not been able to repair, especially if it's something internal to the control box.

i couldnt really find the tech number and the only wires that got damaged were the o2 wires the control box was fine but it is possible since i cant get it to work.

so i called innovate and they said i wasnt getting enough voltage and i had it hooked up to the wrong thing. i started all over moved the grounds and power to the dash where the electrical side mirrior adjustor would be and wired it up. the led light actually blinks normal after all of that but when i plug in the new o2 sensor to recalibrate, it does not warm up the sensor so im not sure what im doing wrong. it just keeps blinking it never gets steady telling me its done calibrating. im just curious if anyone has had issues or heard of something like this with the lc-1. im 100% my wiring is right i have 12v and everything is grounded properly.
