Been a while since I posted, but my power antenna quit working. I can hear the motor running so I'm just going to assume the mast needs to be replaced. Only problem is I cannot seem to get the power antenna out of there. I unscrewed the bolt that's on the bracket part (1st pic) and I pulled off all the pieces that hold the antenna in place on the outside of the car (2nd pic) but it just doesn't seem to wanna come out.

Not sure. Sorry it happened like that. The motor is on a internal switch or relay similar to an automatic power window switch. It is supposed to shut off when it sees an amperage spike. Such as when the antenna fully retracts and extends and the motor suddenly sees high resistance. Maybe thats why the first one broke?

Actually what you're saying makes a lot of sense (and would explain everything if it were the problem) so do you think I have a bad relay? That's the grey box that's attached to the power antenna right? (circled in red) It say's 'Antenna Relay' on it

Went down to advance auto today and picked up a manual antenna. I had to do a little modifying to make it fit since there's that space we have between the body of the car and the top of the spoiler. I don't think it came out too bad.

How the hell did you guys get the blac piece that holds te anyenna to the body?? I got everything else out but can't get it out. I'm stumped. I dont habe an electrical outlet close to me so hack saw isnt quite an option. Op in te first pic already has it removed.

I removed all the little ground clips under the mast that holds it to the pannel, just being a bi***.

Edit: ohhhhhhh it unscrews!!!!! LOL :ohdamn:
