Hey. I've been having this problem for a while. I can't boost past 10psi and I don't hit 10 until almost redline.

It's not the wastegate. I upgraded from a 16g to a 50trim and am having the same problem.

After still having the problem I replaced all of my IC piping and FMIC and it still wont boost past 10psi. No boost leaks or anything. Does anyone have any ideas?

You actually did a proper boost leak test to make sure there are no leaks? There are plenty other places that would leak other then then IC piping.

All of the vacuum lines around the intake manifold are fine. They're all connected. I'm also running with no cats. I'm running out of ideas.

I didnt see an answer to justin04's question, did you do a proper boost leak?

Are you running just straight up internal w/g?

Yes, I did a proper boost leak test.

The turbo has an internal wastegate. The guy who had it before me had no problems with boosting past 10psi. And my car did the same thing with the 16g I had beforehand.

I'm having the same problem. Will not boost past 10PSI.
Troubleshooting so far:
1. Leak test results: I made a leak tester and found two leaks.
a. I fixed one at the BOV flange and one at the J- pipe and turbo.
b. I pulled the hose from the (Internal wastegate) actuator nipple and it boosted up to 20psi with no problem.
c. I checked all vacuum hoses and didn't find any problems.

I will do some more troubleshooting and post my findings.

didn't you just answer your question by removing the pressure source to the actuator and it boosted fine?

I have a similar problem, I even put a new 16G on it over the weekend to test. With the WG uncapped I hit 13 psi tops....

Partially. I still need to check out the boost controller. I plan on taking it apart today.

Any leaks off of the intake manifold, gasket maybe?

I sprayed carb cleaner around the intake manifold and TB while idling, but no rpm surge when I did that, so that's probably ok.
