Can this be bypassed?

Can the Manifold Differential Pressure Sensor on the Intake Manifold be bypassed or removed and covered?

I just got a front strut bar and noticed this thing is in the way. I think I got the wrong bar.

Remove the sensor from the intake mani, but leave it plugged in. Just run the VAC line from them off an existing pressure source, ie. the VAC line for your FPR.

Grab some gasket sealer and either buy a block-off plate from a vendor (I'm seraching for one to no avail) or make your own out of some sheet metal.

You can remove it. The strut-bars for the 420a 2gs don't clear our map-sensors. I wouldn't get rid of it if you still have your E.G.R.. Also, there's no sense in taking something out that works and doesn't harm anything because you received a wrong part. Just get the right bar.

I'm trying to find the link for you now, but there is an adapter for the MDP sensor so you can remove it from the manifold.

Overall, get the right bar though.
