Okay so I believe it's my shift linkage or my solernoids, however you spell it, but when I shift to first or second gear it makes like a clack noise like it's not a smooth shift and when I downshift to second it sometimes won't go in. Anyone have/ or had this problem?

Check the eyelets at the tranny (where the cables connect to the tranny). These rubber bushings often deteriorate. A cheap upgrade is to put rollerskate bearings in their place.

And check the shifter bushings themselves (right at the shifter inside the car).

All rubber that had anything to do with shifting I have replaced with metal. Good upgrade, IMO, if you want more feel and feedback through the stick.
