Hello All,
I just got my car back last Friday and now I have come into a problem. While driving up a hill (this is the only time that it has happened) I would press the gas pedal down and the car would start taking off and then she feels like it down shifts and then up shifts and then down right after each other and then I am stuck in either 1st or 2nd gear. Not sure which gear it is, because I would shift through all the gears and get the same response. I would have to shut the car off and then it seems to reset and be ok. When I drive the car slowly this does not accure, only when I give her gas to speed up quickly it does this. The transmission is under warranty and have an appointment tomorrow to have it checked, but wanted to hear from you all before I go in case they try to sneak one on me. All help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Chris

I checked the fluid and it is right on the hot part. What do you mean about the screen? The tranny was just rebuilt, everything was replaced inside.
Thanks
Chris

see you should have a shift seloniod and in that there is a screen, the shift selenoid and linear selenoid control were the car shifts into what gear along with when it should shift, is this only a problem on a hill or anytime on any road? it could even be the ELC trany control module, or the transaxle range switch on the top side of the tranny

Well, I first noticed it while driving up hill. Now it does it while driving straight. At what rpms should she be shifting at. Where would I find the shift solinoid, ELC control module? Sorry about the questions, very frustrated.
Thanks
Chris

Thanks Poonman, this is great. I will check it out. One more question, after I printed each diagram, I noticed that they are for a 96eclipse, does it matter?
Thanks
Chris
