can someone who is experienced with dsm please pm me or repy to this post. I have quite a few questions i cant seem to find answers too..thank you

ha yeah i just don't like posting multiple questions. I search and use vfaq religiously, sometimes it just isn't enough tho, experienced tuners, for me are the best source..

I just wanted to know about some under hood bushings, but I found the answer to that already.

Question 1.) what gaskets do you use when doing a 2g Mani and o2 housing swap on a 1g(2g gaskets or 1g gaskets)

Question 2) I would like to run 16-17 psi, is this over boosting a 14b and will a 190 pump with stock injectors feed this?

Question 3) what is the best tuning device for non e prom?

thanks for all your help

I have rarely found that searching wasn't sufficient to answer my questions, and I have done 3 ground up rebuilds on DSMs. Not being a dick, just saying that its normally faster to search for answers then wait for responses from threads.
Question 2) I would like to run 16-17 psi, is this over boosting a 14b and will a 190 pump with stock injectors feed this?

No its not overboosting it. A 190 is fine, and according to this 450s are good until 18-19 psi. Road Race Engineering's Eclipse Fuel Delivery Upgrades
Question 3) what is the best tuning device for non e prom?
Probably an SAFC & a freeware logger. Its a more common tuning combo and not necessarily the best, but I do have a friend with a chipped ECU and an SAFC that runs consistent 9s.

Question 1...If you are using 2g manifold use that gasket to the turbo. If you are using 2g o2, use 2g gasket, If you do use the 1g gaskets you might have to mod a lil bit to not restict flow...

You use the 1G head manifold, right? I don't run a gasket from the manifold to the turbo and the O2 housing, just a little bit of axle grease.

 axle grease? I have heard of people using RTV, or a metal gasket and copper spray on it, but never axle grease. Any reasoning?

Yes and you will also be safe running the stock fuel pressure regulator

A data logger of some sort will be a must, this will allow you to see the data but not adjust it, and purchase a SAFC which will allow you to adjust your settings. You can usually pick these up in the classified section pretty easily.

It's an old mechanics trick...under high heat, the grease will bake to a hard carbon-like substance and form a seal.

I did some testing and posted some pics and results around here somewhere a year or two ago, but I can't find it at the moment.

EDIT:

Found it...9th post down.
