I have a 16g that needs a new intake compressor or if I get a 20g with TD06 the question I am unsure about is how can I make this external wastegate I was thinking I could weld the internal one closed but where do I but the TIAL wastegate? any help would be appreciated..

You have 2 options. Buy an 02 housing that is setup for an external gate and remove the flapper from the turbo, or weld the flapper shut and have a flange welded onto your exhaust manifold for the wastegate, most of the time on the #1 runner.

O2 housing made for an external gate or off of the manifold. If you do the manifold it's more common on cast manifolds to be off of the #1 runner but a WG off of the collector is a much better design. You'll have the choice to run a dump tube off of either setup but if you recirculate, the manifold design will need you to weld in new piping to the o2 housing. Also, you would want to looking into an o2 designed with a block off at the internal gate outlet to prevent turbulance from the unused piping that would be there otherwise.
