can i use evo9 rods in my 1g 4g63??

ok i see. and if i use evo pistons or forged pistons with stock nt piston rods , how many psi can i use with turbo? how many hp can i take with this rods?
 
because my engine is a nt and i dont know my rods are similar to turbo ones or not. i will rebuilt my engine with turbo. And i just want to learn are my rods enough for this job or i have to buy new one. And i found evo9 rods very cheap but i think i cant use them
 
thats the combo I am going for in my 1g. I want stick with using all mitsu parts so I am building it to have 1g rods and evo 9 pistons. The compression ratio is much higher than the 1g 4g63T. I believe its 7.8:1 and the evo is 8.8:1 (correct me if I am wrong).


Definately get oil squirters inf you have a daily driver. I know the evo9 pistons are forged aluminum and can handle alot, but it never hurt to haveoil squirts. Personally I would get them and keep them.

Also you have a 1g N/T. I think the compression ratio for your pistons is 9.0:1. Maybe you can use those pistons? IDK never tried using NT pistons in a 4g63T.
 
actually in begining i will use stock engine with 7 or 8 psi (0.5 bar) because of money. i want buy a ms aftermarket ecu for use map sensor and knock sensor. After that i am thinking about rebuilt internalls with 4g64 crank(maybe) (for more torque) 6 bolt rods and evo9 pistons.


and i think it is not a good idea , use the nt pistons in turbo engine. ok they are good pistons but they have a problem rings are very closed to top of the pistons and i think its big problem for durability (i read in here that)

Not really. I know plenty of guys who run their blocks without squirters and have no durability issues, but if you'll feel safer with them in then by all means install them.

Actually, I've yet to see it proven that the Evo pistons are indeed forged. I spent plenty of time on EvolutionM reading thread after thread, and all of the answers I came up with said they were not forged.

The ring lands will not tolerate any knock or detonation at boost levels higher than 14-15psi. Go with pistons that are made for a turbocharged car.

heres a link to thedsmgraveyard release of their evo 9 piston in the Frankenstein build. on the page it states that they are forged aluminum. Actually someone asked on that forum if they are forged and thedsmgraveyard confirmed they were again. (27th post)I mean I can still be wrong, this was my reference.
