I will soon be installing my Evo III, 190 pump and 650 injectors. i will be installing these things in my garage which is about a 30 mile drive on the highway to where im getting the car tuned. i was wondering if it'd be safe to drive the car. I have a truck and a trailer so it wouldn't be a problem to trailer it that distance, but i would also like to drive it and see if i have any boost leaks or any other problems of that sort before i put it on the dyno to get tuned.

right now i just have the SAFC i thought i would wait on the logger, since the guy who has the dyno near me said he would tune the car for me, but i was planning on eventually getting a logger. but you think it would be a good idea not to wait on the logger.

Do you have a wideband at all? I wouldn't drive the car hard or do WOT. You should be fine, but like they said, you are going to be running rich

In the future, defenitely get a wideband and a logger so you are not tuning blindly. That's the worst thing you can do with a dsm... Well there's worse, but ya get the point.

i figured i'd be running rich, the only reason im not tuning it myself is because i know how important a good tune is and i've never tuned before, and i just want the most out of my setup as possible.

why dont you just put the injectors in at the place your getting it tuned at,
i ran a hahn super 16g which is bigger with stock fuel system for over 2 years and it was fine..
or if you decided to it will be fine to drive there without touching a setting, just run rich, just keep your eye on you gauges just incase of oil lines and such..

i never thought about waiting to put the injectors in, i want to do the turbo and pump at the garage thats farther away because i have a lift there but if i wait to do the injectors at my house which is about 3 miles from the dyno tune would that be better?
