Edmonton,
Hey guys,

So here is my Current setup:

16g Turbo.
Stock ECU
Stock Fuel system
Ported Head
Rebuilt Engine
etc etc ( see profile)

Now here is my question. I put the bigger turbo on and am going to turn up the boost.
I have the following parts and am going to install them, but can I install them like 2 at a time and still drive my car safely and not harm the engine or is it easier to install them all at once and go from there. Also my DSM Link is Set for 560cc Evo injectors. Any other question fee free to ask

Here are the Parts to be installed:
AFPR
Boost controller
DSMLink
Fuel Pump
Evo Injectors
Boost guage
Oil Pressure guage.
Thank you!
John

Yes, you can install them in phases and not have a problem. Here's how I would install them:

1. DSMlink
Boost gauge
Boost controller (set at stock boost)

2. Fuel pump (with a rewire kit ;))
AFPR
Evo injectors

3. Oil pressure guage

Make sure you adjust DSMlink for the stock 450cc injectors (0% global and 0 deadtime) if you install it before the Evo injectors. Then start doing the basic tuning (idle, rev, cruise) and then start tuning WOT. Then once you have the hang of it, you can slowly start turning up the boost while making sure everything is still running good!

Ok you seem very very knowledgeable on this subject. Ok with my DSM link. Do you know where I can get a step by step guide that tells me how to tune? I have read a couple posts but I am very confused as to how this will work. Thanks!
John

Do you have access to the link forums yet? If so, check out this page:
DSMLink User Group Forums

Here's a few on idle/rev/cruise tuning (the first one is easier to follow):
http://www.jeffgst.com/gmafcalibration2.html
quickieafsetup [ECMTuning - wiki]
maftcalibrationbywbo2 [ECMTuning - wiki] (also has WOT tuning at the bottom of the page)

Here's one on WOT tuning:
http://www.jeffgst.com/gmafcalibration1.html

The more you read the better. Read all that you can on the DSMlink wiki and in that "Getting started" page. Also read all of what's on Jeff's website (the WOT link). There's some really good info on all of it. If you have any problems, feel free to post back, PM, IM, or even post in the link forums - I'm sure we'll be able to help you. Just remember - read all you can, then start making small adjustments until you figure out what that adjustment did. It's not as bad as you think! It'll just take a bit to get used to the software and understand how everything works and fits together. :thumb:
