Can anyone confirm 1G awd/fwd rear brake pad difference?

I've got a 92 Laser AWD and I just finished replacing the pads/rotors on all 4 corners along with a big brake upgrade up front. The rear pads do NOT look right at all. The pads hang out almost 1/4" over the edge of the rotor! Advance Auto (where I bought the parts), their computer shows the parts for fwd/awd being the same pads. However, CAPS is showing me two diff. part #'s. I've already had to return the front rotors once because if you don't read the fine print, their system will say "This part fits your 1992 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX", but the fine print will say "w/2WD", meaning it only fits a GST.

I want to make sure I got the right pads on there before I go beating on the car!

Sorry about the fuzzy pic, but my camera sucks. The black is the pads, while the silver between them is the rotor. That's the amt. of overhang that's there.

As far as I remember the fwd and awd both use the same rear brake pads. It's really hard to tell from your picture, but I don't think they should be hanging over the edge of the rotor by 1/4". Are you sure you have them in all the way? Do they look like your old pads? Or.... Maybe the new rotors are smaller. Are the new rotors the same diameter as the old ones?

I did some digging, and it appears the rotors are the same. The pads themselves are diff (CAPS and auto part store show diff. p/n's) and the caliper mounting brackets are different. So, I've located another turbo caliper mounting bracket. I'm going to take the one off that's on the car now, and compare them and see what I find.
