Can aftermarket oil pressure sender be affected by turbo heat?

I am about to put a holset on my car and will be running the feed line from the ofh with a restrictor. I plan to run an electric oil pressure sender inline with the feed line but I am debating where to put it. Ideally I would like to put it right off of the turbo to get the most accurate pressure but I am not sure how much the immense amount of heat there would affect it. Can it damage the sender? I want to keep it there full time so I can monitor oil pressure at all times since I daily the car but I don't want it to break because of the heat. Anyone know if it will be fine so close to the turbo for extended periods of time?
 
I would try to keep it away from the turbo as much as possible, because of the heat. Pressure readings will still be accurate whether it's close to the turbo, or not... Pressure is still pressure. As long as you have your sender in line after the restrictor you will be fine. Good luck with the Holset!:thumb:

You don't want to take your readings straight from the turbo.I would take it off the intake manifold because that is the pressure the engine is working with. The pressure in the manifold is different from the pressure before the Intercooler.

I think you are mistaking my need to monitor oil pressure with something else :D The turbo feed line is the best place to monitor it for a holset
 
Since it's a sensor, do not put it close to the turbo itself if you can help it. It may get too hot and give you an inaccurate reading if placed too closely to an extreme heat source.. The worse enemy to any electrical component/sensor is extreme heat. Heat will age your sensor, and shorten its lifespan. Just have a spare sensor close by just in case your first choice doesn't work out as planned. Remember you reserve the right to modify.
