Camshafts and caps replacement

I have been delayed in the rebuild on the talon so I decided to replace the cams and the caps because the caps have some wear. Where can I get the caps and what cams would be recommended?

Well since everything on your profile says "in progress" it's hard to know what to recommend. A set of hks 272's would probably be great depending on what your looking for. You don't have to upgrade your valve train for them. If your upgrading springs and retainers you might wanna look into some 280's. Hks makes great cams. I've herd good things about kelfords also.

what about the caps if they have some wear should they be replaced? by the way I have a 4g63 2g in progress on the build will be running small psi boost at first 8:3:1 wiesco pistons crower rods all stock head.

you can NOT swap caps from the head... they are machined to match the head. and they MUST go back in order and on the proper side of the head.

if you loose or swap cam caps from one head to another head.. the came bores will have to be align honed back to spec.

If your caps are worn, then I doubt your head is usable for a set of new cams. Even if you get new caps you would most likely have to get it line honed to not jack up your new cams.
