camshaft sensing cylinder, where can I buy one?

Just like the title says, Where can I buy one. Fixing a car for a friend that had his cams changed out and I guess the guy who installed them damaged the cylinder and I can't seem to find one. I'll try some of the dsm junkers but I want to know if there's anyone who sells new.

Camshaft sensing cylinder? Do you mean camshaft angle sensor (CAS) or maybe crankshaft position sensor (CPS)? If it's for a 2g I know you can get them at Advanced/Autozone, a dealership, or STM or extremepsi online. There are lot's of 1g ones on eBay and the classifieds.

no its the part that's bolted to the end of the camshaft that the sensor reads. last guy bent it so now the sensor can't read it correctly

This is what your talking about I believe, you may need the whole housing for the CAS. Also, this is a 97-99 style.

Third pic in post 7 is the piece you need. More often then not you would have to buy the whole assembly. You can try Miller import parts. He is a vendor on this site.

i was gonna call them monday they aren't to far from me. but i was afraid of having to buy the whole thing. if any one knows of another place or is willing to sell one they have pm me.
