Cam timing possible cause of crank no start

So I noticed that the pins on my cam sprockets are nowhere in the same ballpark if one is at 12 o'clock the other is at 4 when the engine is at #1tdc this doesn't seem right to me in fact I know it's not. So my question is should they be both at high noon or off by a degree or two?

12 o'clock at TDC on both. It surely wasn't running was it?

No and flooding! I'm sure it doesn't matter but my exhaust cam has an adjustable hsk cam sprocket and the intake sprocket is factory could this be an issue

Nah, maybe not the prettiest but they both work exactly the same. With the crank sprocket on TDC and the Balance shaft and oil pump on their marks, the cams will sit at 12 o'clock and lets HOPE there are no bent valves from the cam being in the wrong position. It doesn't take much to bend those lil suckers, I did it rolling a cam over by hand

Always have to be at 12 Oclock, i had a similar problem with mines but was at 12 oclock but still wouldnt fire up..it would try but no dice....so i went all the way back through the basics, retimed etc. an found spark plugs were in the wrong order...
