Crank no start

I bought my 97 gsx monarch green about 3years ago. And about 1 year ago my battery terminal came lose and disconnected. Well after reconnecting it I had a crank no start unless I unplugged the maf. With the maf unplugged the car runs but poorly idles almost as if it’s running in a limp mode.I know for a fact the cars running ecmlink v2 and I believe the battery disconnecting affected that in some way but I’m not 100% sure could anyway help me with any suggestions.solutions?

Can you connect to the ECU with a laptop?

No I have the cord to do so but I don’t have the disc or the ecm account info from previous owner
