2G No crank no start

Hey all alright so let me tell you my story . Driving around one night and killed it at a light, embarassing yes I know. Anyways I go to start my car and nothing. Push it into a gas station parking lot and get a jump and my car turns on. Drive around some more and go fill up with gas. Again I go to turn my car on and nothing. I had to get a jump again. Then next morning I go try to start my car and nothing again. My dad tries to jump me and this time it didn't help.

Im sort of stumped on this one? Lights and accessories come on but when I turn the key it doesn't nothing. Not even make a noise. Maybe bad connection on the starter? Starter locked up? Bad ckp?

Any suggestion would be awesome! Thanks and sorry for the long post!

Replace the starter. If you dont want to spend the money if your not sure, try tapping it with a hammer and see if it turns over. If you can take it out and test it with a car battery to see if it works out of the car.

+1 on the hammer tecnique. Brushes in the motor may be shot. You could also test for voltage at the solenoid as a buddy turns the key.

When you turn the key do the lights dim? I would just in case have your battery checked out as well. It's odd that a jump would have helped start the car if the starter wasn't good. Out of curiosity, have you tried push starting the car?

If you want I can bring my laptop and Evoscan over today and try and help you figure it out. I've just got to throw my coil pack and ECU back in the talon and make sure it's up and running again before I can help though.

New battery and alt. about 4 months ago. And yea I had my dad tow me just now going like 7 mph and pop the clutch and she started right up. but now that its in the garage I can do some diagnoising now where as before it was in the street like a block from my house

Did you check the starter fuse and relay?

Ignition fuse is just dandy. I pulled the cd player to get to the starter relay just not but havent use my volt meter yet to check for continuity.

Its definitely the starter.
