My new engine is in....however it wont fire. You turn the key and you can hear the ignition trying to start but no dice. The guy that is working on my car says he thinks it is the cam angle sensor but he is not familiar with DSM's. He is going to "scope" it wednesday, says that should be able to tell him what he needs to know. Has anybody had a similar problem? How easily is this fixed?

I have a 97 so, I have the same sensor. Mine took a $H1T and here is what happened. THe car would run if i started it cold. But once it was warm, if you turned it off you could not start it for like 20-30 min sometimes even longer.

I threw a check engine light, at the same time I looked at my timing and it moved around more than a 10 cent whore. SO there are my signs for a cam angle sensor.

As for installing it it takes like 10 min if you finish a beer at the same time. One bolt and a connector at the end of your intake came on the pass. side of the car. The part is like $70-$80. Try a friends first that is what I did to make sure.

Good Luck! :thumb:
