Well this may be my last post so forgive me for its length. Ive only had this car a few months and the more i discover, the more problems i find. When i bought the car i just needed a good daily driver to get me through til i got my massage job, which i now have. I had to replace the fuel pump and filter, plugs and plug wires immediately. I then was tryin to see if there were any codes. I turned the switch back and forth, as you do, and no flashes.... then i saw a diagram of where the check engine light is supposed to be and it wasnt coming on at all. On a hunch i pulled the gauge cluster and sure enough the previous owner had removed the light. Upon replacement i had a code 21 and 54.
Anyways, i was tryin to figure out whats wrong with the cam sensor and all those wires around there. I find now that the previous owner must have cut through a few of the wires going to the coil pack and the cam sensor because now many of them have cheap connectors, wrong sized wires (and a repatch job so shitty the wire threads are hanging out of the connectors...... Im not excited about redoing wiring, or even working behind people that have no business under the hood of something that has wires.
The car bucks more every day, any rpm range. My best guess thanks to you guys is either those wires or bad injectors as the car does have 149k miles on it. The car also sputters horrible and hesitates after hitting a bump at moderate driving speed. And last but not least the car doesnt start immediately, hot or cold you have to keep turnin the switch and it eventually cranks....

In summation, I think my dreams of the 2.2 liter stroker and hahn stage two are better used on something that has at least a few reliable parts. I know dsms are great cars and can be hella fast. But i think all of this cars short coming have driven me to the point that the catalogues are gettin put away. This car shall remain the masses of daily driver, stock, suckdom. but i do appreciate everyones help figuring all this out and i know alot more than i used to think i did....i know enough now to know what to look for and crave knowledge even more. thanks guys, peace
