Buying my first wideband. Any thoughts?

With the MTXL, it has a narrow band output signal you can hook up to to the front o2 wire at the ECU. This will enable narrow band simulation so you don't need a stock sensor.
ECMLink v3 has NBS built in some you can use it that way as well.

I run NBS and have my sensor installed in the front o2 bung.

Well, I will be having the AEM WB. So should i just leave the NB alone? Whats the purpose of getting rid of it?

I have always used zeitronix in the past and loved it. I was one of their first custmers when the zt2 was introduced. At It was the first wideband on the market for under $700 dollars at the time and was a big deal! I plan on buying an innovate Lc1 in the next few weeks. I've never used or installed wideband gauges in my cars, i just log and these newer kits with the controller in the cable is exactly what I need.

Like I said before, I have heard good things about the MTX-L but have never ran it before so I couldn't comment on that. It's weird that all you guys have had so much trouble with the UEGO wideband, mine seems to read the same on both the gauge and in link. Maybe I got lucky?

I never ran it but Corey (Gofer) used to run one and he may still have it, but was discussing it's issues with Link.

The controller for the UEGO is just below the LC1 controller (same controller that the MTXL uses) but, there are many differences that make it inferior.

Unable to program the controller/gauge
Unable to re/calibrate
Too narrow of a sweep range

The only positive thing it has for it over the MTXL is a photosensitive eye to auto adjust the display.

Well when it comes down to it, they all do the same thing :p Lets hope mine cooperates when it gets here :thumb:

Sorry but they aren't all the same. You want a WB that is ideally always accurate which is a reason for cost variations between controllers.

I'm about to purchase a wideband as well, I'm actually thinking about going with AEM for most of my engine managment needs. I am not planning on using link. Is purchasing a wideband worth it if I'm not going for big HP number? Or doing exgtensive fuel upgrades? The biggest turbo I will be using is a 14b

I understand. All i meant was is that they all do the same thing, i know they are different of course. :thumb:

Not many have used Prosports wideband but personally I like the look of it a lot.

Only downside is that DSMLINK doesn't have a preset for the wideband so you need to input the values for it yourself, it isn't hard and you can always PM me for the switch points if you ever do go with the Prosport Wideband

Wait, how did ProSport get into this?

I would do my research before buying prosport I don't want to get in trouble with the moderators so I wont say why. Just look at some reviews. But other than the problem I'm talking about they are the cleanest looking gauges for sure

+1 on the cleanest, but where are the reviews? Links?
