Im looking for a turbo back exhaust(something that sounds good and not like a pissed off weed eater :D ), O2 housing pipe, intake (k&n filter type), and headers and looking for brand names that are good for the dsm. This is my bf's acct that i took over and im looking at buying the same car that he was interested in.

I am basically looking for start out mods that are going to give good horsepower/performance. any information would be great... :)

Thanks
Kera

Ok, just thought I would update you guys.

I went and picked up my car friday evening for $800. We had to trailer it since there was no battery and the turbo and various things were in a bucket in the passenger seat. Didnt get to do anything friday night to the car but hack the air can and modify the MAF since it was raining. Sat. was really disappointing, got a good look under the hood and was scared that I couldnt get it running afterall. First off I checked the oil and found that there was nothing registering on the dip stick. Thinking back the guy I bought it from said that when he finished the rebuild he put oil in it but there was a bad leak from around the BS area. I just figured since the car has sat for amost a year that the car leaked all the oil out. So I add almost 3 quarts of oil and decide to check under the car to see if it was leaking yet. By this time lake GSX had already formed and from the size of the puddle I had a pretty good leak on my hands. As I looked for the leak I noticed it looks like the oil pan was leaking, and upon further inspection I found that there was no drain plug what so ever. After calling the local parts stores, none had a drain plug so I had to travel to the next city to buy one. Once I got home with my new plug and installed it and added more oil, oddly enough there is no leak. Now that there is oil in it I borrowed a supposedly good battery and tried starting the car, but nothing happened. Dash lights worked and all but the started would only engage but not spin. Now that I was thoroughly pissed off I decided that maybe the engine was still really tight and the battery didnt have enough juice to turn wih the plugs in. I pull the plugs and discover that the guy didnt even install new plugs or wires after the rebuild. The wires were wrapped in electrical tape and the Autolite Plat. plugs were all fouled. By this time it was already 8:00pm and I just called it a day. Sunday first thing on the list was new NGK plugs and some plug wires. After installing the plugs and wires, I checked the oil, IT WAS STILL FULL! So things were starting to look up, so I decided to try the battery again, long story short the battery was bad, so I got a new one. Now the engine turns over but wont catch and the car smells flooded. My friend notices that there is gas suirting out from the top of the fuel filter. We find the fuel lines are not even finger tight on the top or bottom of it, fix that and holy crap the car starts and runs! We are then ready to reinstall the turbo and find out that the turbo housing has a crack from hell in it. Well I cant do anything until I figure something out on the turbo. Needless to say I feel like I got a good deal seeing as how the guy thought his leak was at the BS when he only forgot to reinstall the drain plug. The down side is I had $1000 to spend on the car to get it running, but I am already half way through that and I still need to get a new turbo, gasket kit so I can mount the turbo, 3" custom exhaust, and any thing else I might need to replace along the way.

Sorry for the long post, but this is the most involved I have been into working on a car before, kinda fun. My TBE on my WRX wasnt this invloved and I had to take off my exhaust manifold(located under the car and only accessible by removing a motor mount and jacking the engine up) to get the up-pipe off.
