busted left rear axle

Well it was my first time to the track this year i lunched my car at 4k and bam slam pow. i puled the axle out and drove the car home very slow. You think that every thing will be ok. I hope i dint do any damage to the center diff by driving it. I am only running 14b at16psi is this a very common problem at this power level. I got a lot of vibrations at the drag strip wile i limped my car down the track it felt like a slipping clutch almost i think i herd some funny noise from the trans. but on the ride home no noise. It just felt like i clutch slipping if you tried to acell quick. but i drove very slow and dint let it slip much. Thanks for your input.

This is bull s### some stupid kid post about how he cant put a wiper blade on and 900 people tell him how and give him pics and back him a cake. I just want some advise about my trans. and want to know if damage can be done by braking an axle. I dint know that the axle did bust and i keep trying to go. Thanks to any one who has some advise

driving a awd car with one axle out is not good you probably worn the shit out the VC and CD, an immediate break and replace is not goin to hurt nothing, but you said you drove it and it was slipping like a slipping clutch, that was the vc slipping.

no matter if you babied it home it still slips.

thanks for your input i will replace the axle on tues and let you know how f### it is .

Dump and check the fluid on both the rear diff and trans to see if there is now silicon fluid in it.

I did this (pulled the drivers side axle out of the rear diff) on the expressway when the car was new and drove it home but I think the dealer replaced the rear diff after they figured out it wasn't the clutch.
