I'm looking at getting one of buschur racings shortblocks, either the stage I or II ( havent decided yet) I'm looking for some feedback on customers that have purchased from them. I'm alittle scared about purchasing a Engine block over the internet. I know they have the fastest dsm in the world that did 6-7 seconds numberous times. I want to do a 6 bolt swap on my spyder and put a evo 3 16g turbo on. Another question. I have a 2g Head that i would like to keep, Can I port it to match the 6 bolt block? or should I just get a 1g head and put that on? Can I get some of your thoughts? thank you

Shep ran all last year on the same block, Buschur does great work. I have their stage 3 head and am happy with it.

with the flow differnce in the 1g head I would save time and just pick one up it will work better for you in the long run. I live very close to Daves shop he is a good guy and wont rip you off, he has been in this business a long time. Shoot him an email and he will give you all the info you need on his products.

You don't have to port match the 2g head to a 6 bolt block. Also you will not see much if any differences from a 2g head to a 1g head till like 600hp. The reason 2g heads suck from the factory is because of crappy cams and crappy intake manifold design. You will even make more tq with a 2g head.

Also why would you be scared of buying a block from them over the internet? They are a well known shop with a solid reputation. I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Do you have a background in modeling fluid flow? CFD perhaps?

I do...Hes wrong.

The 2g head flows better till you get into airflows in the V trim 57 turbo range. Intake port velocity is more important at lower volume flow rates then intake port volume. Unless you plan on putting a big honking turbo on a car then stick to a 2g head thats mildly ported for clean up and a good set of cams like the FP1 or 2.

For what its worth people are pushing those head farther than that pretty easy. Blueballz on here made just over 600awhp on a stock 2g head. I am curious what a good port job on a 2g head would do. And I mean going up on the runners and not touching the floor at all.

As do I but I was hoping he would "prove" his comments. Thanks for chiming in with solid information.
