well i have the funds for a shortblock build one site (MAPerfomance) offers a stage 1 at 2500 but only comes with stock rods... and if i'm plunking down 2500 i would want aftermarket rods. BUT if the stock rods are good enough for my goals (11.5-12.0 1/4 mile) then whatever i'll get it. slowboy racing has a shortblock for 2k with eagle rods but i've heard some bad things about slowboy (motors blow up and long turn-around time). Magnus blocks are insanly expensive and Buschur blocks are the same as MAP and it doesnt say what pistons they use.

Will the stock rods handle what i want to do with my car? which company should i go with?

Our motors are in several race programs across the world, most everyone has been in use for years! We actually just got an update from our friends in the islands about how pleased they are with the motors that they have been racing on for over 3 years!

We build more motors than any other place that I know of. All in house, all with excellent quality control. There have been a isolated few with legit issues that we take care of, most others come from some kind of improper install or prep. It's an unfortunate reality but we see it quite a bit.

We have several 6 bolt blocks on the shelf and ready to go right now! We are offering them on some sick prices too. If you to discuss some options, give me a call. ; )
