Buschur Racing Tech question

On the Buschur Racing web site under stage 1 it says that the 2g will need a 16g turbo. Is that the Small 16g that they sell or the big 16g that they sell? And can it be found used on another car? Sorry Verry Verry new!

a 16g is a 16g. They are both capable and basically fit the same car profile.

it can be found used on cars in japan.....or maybe europe. I believe the evo 1-4 and some others had them.

I don't mean to high jack the tread, but doesn't the small 16G spool up quicker and give more torque than the big 16G??

not exactly.

The maps for the 2 are acutally quite similar. I don't have them both here anymore (computer crash) but they arn't that much different. The small will spool up just a tad slower and has a higher peak efficiency but a smaller peak efficiency area.

If you are in that range I suggest you go with the one with a better build quality. The EVO 16g seems to be fairly stable and is a bargain.

How will a small 16G spool up slower if it is EXACTLY the same turbo as a Big 16G, with the exception of a very, very slightly smaller compressor wheel?

Big 16G: inducer - 1.892" exducer - 2.680"

Small 16G: inducer - 1.830" exducer - 2.365"

The small 16G is not slightly smaller than the big 16G wheel. It is a lot smaller.
