ive been reading the magnus and the rre 6bolt swap guides then i came across this on a different page.....

"Buy a 96-98 Hyuandai Elantra oil pump. This is off the g4cs, and g4cp block. It is a 6-bolt pump, with the 2g crank sensor mount. You will be able to run all of your 2g crank, and cam sensors. This Gets rid of any of the the 1g cas problems"

Is this true ? that would save alot of trouble wriing in a 1g cas

any comments or expierenced advice would be greatly appreciated, ive done 2 7 bolt swaps already and im getting tired of it, its time for the built 6 bolt.

keep in mind that since the 6bolt i have is built i will be using the 6 bolt block and head.

Yes using the elantra pump will allow you to use the 2g Crank Angle Sensor. However if you are using a 1g head I am unsure about running a 2g Cam Angle Sensor.

If you allready run link, or plan to run link in the future, you should just consider getting the Magnus Swap harness. You can also wire one up your self if you source the pigtails from junkyards.

The reason I say if you have link or plan to get link is that DSM Link will allow you to simply click a check box to Ignore Random Misfire Codes.

okay so question, if i use the elantra pump on this 6 bolt i can use my factory 2g crank position sensor, then all i will need to wire up is the 2g cam sensor wires to the 1g cam sensor..

if it will work that should greatly reduce the chances of getting a CEL for misc missfire sice ill be using the factory crank sensor. and of course a not so accurate cam sensor signal.

i have all the connectors and stuff to do this swap, i just being cautious because its not a direct swap .
